Reflection from the PTA President - Jenn Duffy

I want to take a moment to reflect on the first 8 months of the current Board’s term. We came right out of the gate with a lot of energy, a lot of ideas, and a lot of encouragement. Have we taken on a lot? Undoubtedly! Did we forge new friendships along the way? Absolutely, yes.

Personally, this experience has been deeply gratifying, witnessing my own child’s face light up when she spies me in school working on the next project, event or going to the next planning meeting. Whether it's being greeted with "Hi Erin's mom!" or "Hi Good Eats person," or receiving warm waves from students across all grades, this journey has been as enriching for me as it has been demanding.

Behind every program, event, and decision lies countless hours of dedication from our team. It's a labor of love that can sometimes take its toll, but the sight of volunteers stepping up and children smiling at our efforts reaffirms the goodness in what we do. Your continued support is invaluable—whether it's through sharing our posts on social media, contributing ideas, or lending a helping hand during event planning.

To our current board, our incredible volunteers, and the dedicated VCSD staff, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. To the students, I can’t wait to see your faces when you see what we do next!
