Blackbird Paradise - Gardening!

It’s finally time to garden! Would you like to help in Blackbird Paradise (our school and community garden)? No gardening experience is necessary. Please let Tricia Putman at pputman@nycap.rr.com know if you are interested. Some upcoming needs are:

• April 30th at 12:00 - Garden Clean Up (kids welcome)

• Plantings with the Students - 2 to 3 volunteers needed to help per date (this is in addition to parents helping with individual sessions)

  • Kindergarten - May 2nd (rain date May 6th) - 9:15 until 2:30

  • 1st grade - May 10th (rain date June 14th) - 10:00 until 3:00

  • 2nd grade - June 7th (rain date June 15th) - 9:15 until 1:45

  • 3rd grade - May 12th (rain date June 8th) - 8:30 until 3:00

  • 4th grade - May 18th and June 15th (we didn’t pick rain dates….fingers crossed) - 11:15 until 12:45

• Summer Volunteers - visit once a week to help with weeding, harvesting, etc...
