Parent University!

We are pleased to announce that Parent University is coming to VMS!

Parent University exists in many schools in our area and around the country. The goal of Parent University is to increase parent involvement in Voorheesville Middle School and empower parents to raise children who are successful in school and in life. Parental involvement improves student morale, attitudes, and academic achievement across all subject areas. Parent University recognizes that behind each successful student are supportive families, teachers, school staff and community members who actively participate in a student’s education. No matter what role you play in our school community, Parent University encourages involvement and participation in the education of our community’s students.

Our 1st Parent University Event is scheduled for Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00PM in the PAC and features Sweethearts and Heroes! Special thanks to our PTA; their majority financial support made this full day and evening event possible.

Sweethearts and Heroes will spend the day at the middle school October 2. Join us that evening to hear about their Parent Pillars. You do not need to have a child in the middle school to attend!
